An integrated recreation and tourist center “Russkaya derevnya” is situated 94 km off Yekaterinburg city, at the ecologically clean area without industrial estates and large farming industries nearby, in the Koltashi village of the Rezhevskoy district, Sverdlovsk region. This area is remarkable for a happy confluence of several favorable factors such as picturesque place and natural monuments situated quite nearby (“hedgehog-stone”, “devil-stone”), just 90 m away from the Rezh river.
There is a great historical tradition since the settlement (Demidov’s era) till the second half of the twentieth century as well as location in the very heart of semiprecious band of the Urals. The fact is noteworthy that the tourist center is 50 meters off the place where a house of the famous extraction of semiprecious stone man, Danila Kondratyevich Zverev, which became a pre-image of Danila-foreman from the Bazhov’s tales.

Guided tour in the vicinities by a jeep
A trip by a special jeep, Land Cruiser 100, with a load of 4 persons and a time span of about 3-4 hours, driving to the Hedgehog-stone and the Devil-stone on the way is offered. The trip includes hot vitaminous tea with sandwiches in the meantime as well as stops for taking photos at the most interesting and pictorial places – 10 000 roubles.
